Abstract

With the exponential growth of big data analytics, privacy concerns have become a central issue in global legal discourse. This paper presents a comparative analysis of big data privacy laws across different jurisdictions, focusing on how various countries approach the regulation of personal data protection. The study examines the legal frameworks of the European Union (EU), the United States (US), and Pakistan, highlighting the challenges and opportunities in ensuring privacy in big data ecosystems. By analyzing key regulatory measures such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Pakistan's Personal Data Protection Bill, the paper provides insights into the effectiveness of current legal approaches and offers recommendations for harmonizing privacy laws on a global scale.
