The growing adoption of biometric data collection technologies, such as facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, and iris recognition, has revolutionized numerous sectors, including security, healthcare, and finance. However, the collection and use of biometric data raise significant privacy concerns. These concerns are rooted in ethical dilemmas, legal frameworks, and technical challenges associated with ensuring secure, responsible, and fair use of biometric data. This article examines these issues in detail, providing a comprehensive overview of the ethical, legal, and technical challenges posed by biometric data collection, with an emphasis on their implications for privacy and security. The study further explores existing frameworks and proposes solutions for mitigating risks while balancing innovation and privacy rights.
